this is the storyboard that i drew and with the help of Jess, Tisha and Lawrence. I think that the story board is very close to what we actually filmed and not too many changes have been made .

Distribution

Looking at a variety of distribution companys such as Paramount pictures, Universal pictures and Lionsgate we have chosen Universal Pictures because 'Universal' meaning Including, relating to, or affecting all members of the class or group under consideration this giving us a variety of films that we could make, As Universal Pictures have distributed films such as 'The Adventures of Rockey and Bullwinkle' right the way through to films such as 'Childs Play 2' and '3' and as we have made a horror/thriller we think that universal pictures is the most ideal distributer for our film.

Im going to Analize the opening titles to The Halloween film. Im going to talk about the music used in the scene and how the titles are written as well as whats in the scene.
The music used in the sequence is very eery and very effective how the tune is repeated. Also the pumpkin in the back ground is really good because its a scary icon but it also is good because pumkins simbolise 'HALLOWEEN' and the film is also called Halloween, the pumpkin also gradually gets closer and closer which is slightly creepy because you dont know whats going to happen or if anything is going to pop out.
the text used in the oppening titles is also interesting because its the traditional halloween colours of orange and black.

Horror/Thriller relies on character fears, guilt, beliefs, eerie sound effects, relevant music and emotional instability to build tension and keeping the veiwer at the edge of their seats the Horrific identity is often not revealed until well into the work, or even at the very end.
The films are always aiming to make the veiwer jump of hide from the film, The best horror films are the ones were u can not watch but u really want to, and some technics hate used such as eerie music, the setting and some cut away shots such as a girl standing in a dark room were a cut away scene goes to a pickaxe dragging along the floor, this also builds up tension because you dont kn0w when the killer will attack.

Dawn of the Dead opening titles
Uploaded by mactiste. - Independent web videos.
The first opening titles are of A carbon remake of the 1960's Pycho, The titles a really basic and other than a transition between the text its more or less just text, The music used for the titles are of a slasher typ music which goes into a classical style then back into slasher this is repeated right untill the end of the titles.
The second opening titles are of the 2004 film Daw of the Dead, These titles are really interesting and has you on the edge of your seat. The titles start astho it's a news report because the footage used is of scenes around the world such as monks preying in a temple then cuts to a man jumping at the camera with bood surrounding his mouth. I like the use of jumpy cut scenes because it lets you pack lots of infomation in but not enough to ruin the story, The scenes progress into news reportes talking about the disarsterous things going on which it split up by the cut scenes of riots and cars on fire, the scenes are ofter split up but a black screen with blood forming somebodys name which is slowly washed away as if it raining. There isnt any music over these titles but there is a news report going on which is talking about a virus tht could be airborn which gets you thinking whether the man has the virus or its something different, the report is sometimes interrupted with screaming or jolting sounds.
Both of these titles are of the horror genre but both are totally different the one made in 2004 is very technical which gives good effect and i believe helps make you want to watch the film, it also helps with the film and info about the film were as the Psycho titles are basic and do not give any infomation on the film so you just want them to finnish so you can watch the film other than watchign the titles as if it is part of the film.
